One of the biggest battles we all face is the human propensity to be lazy. That’s why, as a new member, it does take a month or two of considerable self-coaxing and self-discipline to get to the stage where you actually, don’t feel fully alive, until you’ve had your workout.
However, we’re often our worst critics. If you do miss an intended workout, it’s not the end of the world. Take up your batten again the next day. After all, even once a week is better than no physical activity.
Then, as far as ‘inspiration’ goes, just think of this. When you come to the club, inspiration is all around you. Every soul you have at your side knows what it’s like to muster up the motivation to come to the gym. And if you enjoy a good conversation, you will often find others have overcome plenty of personal challenges just to be there. You’ll find this out when you take the time to make friends. It’s an opportunity to encourage each other.
Inspiration is all around you. Look around. Reach out and make friends!
