In the Bible, Genesis 19, when fleeing the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah (around 1900BC) Lot disobeyed an angelic warning and turned to look back. As a result she received the ‘transformation’ she never expected, and turned into a pillar of salt.
To be sure, there are reasons we should not dwell on, or live in the past. Yet many believe that life is a series of lessons for reflecting on. These people live life curious, always wanting to know more, excited to interact with others, to listen to podcasts and attend events. Some of us coast, some dwell at home, on a couch with a firm grip on the remote, others live on repeat like a repetitive reel of Groundhog Day.
Club Physical is filled with positive people, not content with the status quo, all working to improve their health, strength and fitness. People from all walks of life, from book authors, electricans, scaffolders, actors, athletes, hairdressers, business-people, accountants, police, chefs, painters, parents, students and many more.
The very fact that you each muster-up the mind power to put one foot in front of the other, to stretch your comfort zone, accelerate your pulse and contract your muscles, makes you a winner and an acheiver.
It is a fast moving world today – and its good to strive and to plan ahead. Yet sometimes it is encouraging to look back and consider what you’ve learned and to appreciate the people you’ve met along the way.
Over the last few weeks we’ve done this as a project and the result – The Club Physical HISTORY BOARD, now positioned outside the GROUPX studio. Hope you like it.
Today we’re suggesting, it could be worthwhile taking time to reflect on your life experiences and the people who have helped you along the way.
Don’t worry. You wont turn into a pillar of salt.
