What if you were told, ‘Your life will end tonight. But if you give away everything you have, you will live!’
I’m certain that most of you, even if you were a billionaire, would not hesitate to give everything away. After all, without your life, you have NOTHING.
Suffice to say, your own life is probably worth hundreds of thousands, even millions and maybe billions of dollars to you and to your loved ones.
There are times in some people’s lives when your problems, challenges and disappointments seem unsurmountable. This can lead you to lose track of rational thinking. To imagine that your life isn’t so valuable. And can result in you thinking that you can solve it all by ending it.
But that solves nothing. Instead, you leave everyone you have loved with a whole lot of heartache. Don’t do it. Take time out with your closest, wisest friends, or look up a good counsellor (like our friends at Anxiety NZ 09-846 9776).
Every single person has a variety of challenges come into their paths. By working them out, adapting and overcoming, we each develop maturity, mental discipline, resilience and love and respect. I know at the time of emotional turmoil this isn’t always obvious. That’s why you need help. After all, you can always change your circumstance.
Your life is far too valuable to throw it away. That’s why we enjoy working out at the gym. It makes you feel strong, healthy, relaxed and positive. And when you do this, you instinctively know that you are investing your time into protecting and extending your most valuable, irreplaceable asset. YOUR LIFE. Respect the life you have be given.
