Why do you buy health insurance? Is it to pay for care when things go wrong?
The question is, does having health insurance make you ‘healthy’? No. But going to the gym does make you healthy.
Therefore, if you really want to ‘ensure’ that you remain as healthy as possible, the BEST personal investment you can make is to set aside 30-60 minutes most days and go to the gym. Of course, the gym is not the only place you can get exercise. You could go for a walk or go for a run. Both options are great for overall health and especially for your heart, although you usually do this on your own. Whereas, at the gym you have plenty of positive company to spur you on.
However, with just a walk/run routine as your fitness strategy, you’re missing out. And that’s ‘muscle’. Muscle tone can have an extremely powerful impact on your overall health, the speed of your metabolism and the strength of your bones. To reap the benefits of this YOU need to be doing resistance training. Many women have yet to understand and to utilise this opportunity. A holistically structured ‘wellness routine should have the following…
- Cardio exercise at least five times weekly
- Resistance exercise 2-3 times weekly
- Regular 5-10 minutes stretch
- Movements incorporating and maintaining your sense of ‘balance’.
- A healthy well-balanced diet
- And a good night’s sleep.
Of course, when you include other people, friendship, and camaraderie with any of these disciplines, you enhance your mental health results.
Now if you are a woman who has never lifted weights, but you’re keen to become as healthy as you can, a good way to get started is to attend Club Physical’s FLEX class. This will give you a basic understanding about posture and exercise form. The next step could be to have one of the team show you how to use the 30-minute circuit.
And when you are ready to up the intensity and to multiply your results, book in with a Personal Trainer or perhaps book in for X45.
To my way of thinking, these activities will bless you with the absolute BEST HEALTH INSURANCE. Real health insurance – actions that ensure that you stay well!
